Louisiana, New Orleans, Canal Bank, $20, February 10, 1849, angels and cherubs with large “20” at center, red back, serial #510, dated and signed by the President, this note needed only the cashier’s signature to be properly issued and is scarce as such, two hammer cancellations and a small bit of missing paper as a result, otherwise crisp uncirculated.
