New York, Naples, William Marks Jr., 5 Cents, Sept 22, 1862, H6, Ontario County, train at top center, Mr. Marks was an undertaker and an abolitionist who used his hearse to transport escaped slaves as part of the “Underground Railroad”, an interesting slavery related Civil War note, nice fine to very fine.
