New York, Newark, Bank of Newark, $10, Nov 11, 1852, NY-1975-R20, Wayne County, two ship in New York Harbor at center, cattle and telegraph line at right, this is a slightly different variety than the note shown in Haxby with “10” at upper corners instead of “X”, a genuine note raised from $1 to $10, this bank became a national bank and redeemed its genuine notes, rare, multiple pinholes at left and a nipped upper right corner, very good.
