Massachusetts, Andover, Andover Bank, $3, Jan 1st, 185?, MA-25-S10, ships at center, woman with bow at right, heavily stamped "COUNTERFEIT" by the Bank of Mutual Redemption of Boston when this note was presented, it was likely returned to the bank that submitted it, the new Bowers book rates the rarity of this one at "URS-5" (9-16 known) but I think that this rarity is probably too low with maybe 3-5 times that number surviving, two repaired edge tears, otherwise very good.
