Corner 9th and J Streets, $1, 1883, "One Dollar Gold Note", miner leans on bar at left, train winds through mountain landscape at right, executed in the style of a National Gold Bank Note, brown back reads, "This Note will be received at par in payment for merchandise sold at our store. N.W. Cor. 9th & J Sts.", this is not an advertising note but a fully negotiable scrip note and a rare and spectacular one at that, very good to fine.
