Connecticut, Laurel, Thames Bank, $1, August 12, 1856, CT-370-A5, listed by Haxby as "SENC", these are scarce but not very rare, partially altered from Thames Bank of Laurel, Indiana, the state name has been crudely altered along the top edge but the town name was not yet changed to "Norwich", cows at center, woman with milk pail at left, gold dollar at bottom center, fine to very fine.
